Saturday January 3rd
1:00pm to 2:00pm
at the Civic Center
(lower level next to the rink) Classes Begin: January 3, 2009
Rink Location: Lower Level Coliseum
Enter from Johnson Street down the ramp into the arena area.

Availability of ice time is determined by the Amarillo Gorillas organization and Amarillo Civic Center A calendar of class times is available to all participants of the skating school on a monthly basis.

All skaters should have skates to participate in the Learn to Skate program. Skates can be purchased on line from

and other online retailers.
Skates can also be purchased in pro shops in Dallas, Oklahoma City, Denver, Colorado Springs, Albuquerque and other big cities.

Skates and Attire recommendations

MORNING SKATE - Mon, Wed & Fri 8:30-9:30 AM
($10 per skater, payable to Gorillas Hockey)

PUNCHCARD SESSIONS
Skaters enrolled in group lessons:
Ice time fee of $10 per skater per hour.
All other skaters:
Ice time fee of $15 per skater per hour.
Discounted punch cards may be purchased in advance.

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION
Available during PUNCH CARD SESSIONS for a fee arranged with the instructor

TESTING
The school follows USFSA Basic Skills program curriculum.
Testing of skaters is performed during group lessons, usually at the end of the semester. It can also be arranged individually during freestyle sessions.
